Job summary

Latigo Biotherapeutics is seeking a hands-on Manager or Senior Accounting Manager to lead monthly and quarterly closes, prepare accruals, and provide a strong review layer across general accounting. You will partner with the Assistant Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and scalable accounting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA required.

Responsibilities

Manage month-end and quarter-end close calendars and open items.
Own accounting areas: accruals, payroll and benefits, stock-based compensation, investments, leases, prepaids.
Review journal entries, reconciliations, flux analyses, and close support.
Coordinate audit requests and support SOX activities.
Identify control gaps and implement remediation plans.
Lead process improvements to increase efficiency and data quality.
Collaborate with SEC reporting and own quarterly/annual footnote disclosures.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of accounting staff.
