Job summary

Latigo Biotherapeutics is seeking a hands-on Manager or Senior Accounting Manager to lead monthly and quarterly closes, prepare accruals, and provide a strong review layer across general accounting. You will partner with the Assistant Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and scalable accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA required.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and quarter-end close calendars and open items.
• Own accounting areas: accruals, payroll and benefits, stock-based compensation, investments, leases, prepaids.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, flux analyses, and close support.
• Coordinate audit requests and support SOX activities.
• Identify control gaps and implement remediation plans.
• Lead process improvements to increase efficiency and data quality.
• Collaborate with SEC reporting and own quarterly/annual footnote disclosures.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of accounting staff.
