Job summary

Guidehouse in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Mathematical Biostatistician to support NIH data analysis efforts on heart, lung, and blood disease studies. The role is full-time and on-site in Bethesda, MD, collaborating with investigators to design, analyze, and interpret biomedical data.

The candidate will apply a range of statistical methods, develop hypotheses, and provide expert consultation. A PhD or equivalent experience with strong publication record and federal/public trust eligibility is

Qualifications

• PhD in statistics, biostatistics or related field; a master’s degree with three additional years of experience can be substituted for PhD.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience with biomedical and clinical research study data.
• Experience with statistical software such as R or S+, Python, and/or SAS.
• Significant experience conducting large-scale data analysis.
• Proven track record of productivity as judged by peer-reviewed publications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with investigators on design, conduct, interpretation, and analysis of direct-data projects.
• Prepare data and results for presentation or publication in collaboration with investigators.
• Apply conventional or new statistical methods to biomedical data.
• Provide expert statistical consultation to NHLBI researchers and associated groups.
• Select and implement study design and analysis methods for biological/medical data.
