Westat, Inc. is seeking a Senior Statistical Associate - Biostatistician to support statistical analyses across clinical research projects, including randomized trials and epidemiologic studies.

The role combines design, data analysis, and collaboration with sponsors and investigators, with results prepared for peer-reviewed reporting. The position requires onsite work in Bethesda, Maryland two days per week and remote work for the remaining days.

Qualificações

• PhD in Biostatistics or a related quantitative field and 2–4 years of post-doctoral relevant experience, including 1–2 years in design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of clinical trials.
• Experience in health research, advanced data analysis, and in analyzing research data using statistical packages.
• Experience with R, SAS, and other statistical packages.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate on study protocols, including selection of trial designs and statistical methodology with emphasis on Bayesian methods.
• Develop study aims, hypotheses, and assess feasibility.
• Estimate optimal sample size for desired power within resource limits.
• Develop statistical considerations and analysis methods for study protocols.
• Create analysis plans guiding data management and presentation of results.
• Conduct statistical analyses for clinical trials and epidemiological projects and present results.
• Contribute to validation, troubleshooting, and interpretation of results.
• Present analytic results to internal and external audiences with context.
