Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist to provide analytical and technical support for data science activities on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD or Baltimore, MD. The role involves data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, integration, statistical analysis, visualization, and machine learning model development.

On-site work with cross-functional collaboration is expected. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of data science experience, with proficiency in Python or R,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ year of data science, analytics, or research support experience.
• Experience with Python and/or R for data workflows and visualization.
• Familiarity with NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, or time series analyses.
• Ability to write SOPs and contribute to technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical and technical support for data science activities, including data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, and model development.
• Collect, clean, integrate, and validate data from diverse sources (research, clinical, operational, public health).
• Develop reproducible analytical pipelines, code, model testing, and QA.
• Create dashboards, reports, and decision-support products for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with researchers, data engineers, and IT professionals.
