Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a data analytics professional in San Francisco to transform operational data into actionable insights for stakeholders and business development partners.

You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines, build Power BI dashboards, and guide partners on product performance and solution improvements. Strong SQL, Databricks, PySpark, Python or R skills are required, along with experience in NLP/LLMs and data modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field required.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
• SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL proficiency including querying, joins, indexing, relations.
• Databricks and Apache Spark experience, preferably PySpark.
• Foundational programming skills in Python or R for analysis.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, data quality, reproducible pipelines, version control.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI and DAX basics.
• Familiar with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow integration.
• Baseline familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy methods to analyze operational data and derive insights for stakeholders.
• Act as data analytics lead across projects and advise on product performance.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights for operations and readiness.
• Create and maintain documentation and artifacts.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks with Spark/PySpark.
• Create dashboards and analytic products using Power BI with semantic models.
• Integrate data products into Power Apps and Automations.
• Prepare and analyze unstructured data for language-focused use cases.
• Collaborate with senior team members on LLM/agent capabilities.
• Manage data sources, transformations, and analytic methodologies.
