Job summary

City of Austin seeks an experienced Operations & Maintenance Superintendent to oversee Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant and related facilities. You will supervise staff, coordinate safety, permit compliance, and budget management while collaborating with engineers and vendors.

This role requires a Class B Wastewater License and strong leadership. Essential duties include ensuring regulatory compliance, managing multiple facilities, and guiding project coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field plus 4 years in management and operation of industrial facilities, including 2 years supervisory.
• High school diploma plus 8 years in management and operation of industrial facilities, including 2 years supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Coordinate operation/maintenance of treatment facilities and water distribution systems.
• Develop operating procedures and analyze data for reports and performance measures.
• Manage budgets, safety programs, and regulatory requirements (EPA/TCEQ).
