Job summary

Azenta Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Supervisor of Biorepository Operations to lead the Biobank team, oversee sample receipt, labeling, accessioning and storage, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

You will set goals, coach staff, drive process improvements, coordinate across shifts, and work with PMO to meet customer expectations. The role emphasizes safety, data accuracy, and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 2+ years of people/functional experience; alternative pathways with 4+ years (2+ years in people/functional) or 5+ years with HS diploma.
• Experience in FDA regulated industry (GMP or GLP) preferred.
• Previous sample and/or data management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set and track goals and daily work assignments for the Biobank team.
• Promote collaboration across shifts, teams and departments.
• Manage personnel, inventory, metrics, and resources to meet department objectives.
• Enforce quality and regulatory compliance across processes.
• Communicate team updates with data, reports, and documentation as needed.
• Oversee sample receipt, labeling, accessioning, and storage location assignment.
• Escalate issues and drive resolution of operational, quality, or financial concerns.
• Lead performance reviews and coach staff for development.
• Lead continuous process improvements and corrective actions.
