Job summary

SeQure DX is seeking a Senior Scientist, Bioproduction & Bioprocessing to lead mammalian cell-based production developments for research and manufacturing needs. You will guide stable cell line generation, transient expression, and upstream processing while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes data analysis, process improvement, and scientific innovation, with opportunities to advance production strategies and platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• PhD in biological sciences or related field with 10+ years in bioproduction or cell line development.
• Expertise in stable cell line development and clone selection.
• Extensive hands-on experience with transient expression of antibodies or recombinant proteins.
• Strong foundation in mammalian cell culture and upstream protein expression.
• Experience with high-throughput screening, automation, or analytical tools.
• Background in vector design, media/feed optimization, or bioprocess development.
• Experience in milestone-driven industry or core lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead workflows for stable pool and stable cell line generation, including transfection and clone screening.
• Perform stable pool and transient experiments using relevant CHO and HEK cell lines.
• Develop and optimize transient protein expression processes for antibodies and proteins.
• Conduct upstream studies and prepare materials for scale-up.
• Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments per protocols and quality standards.
• Analyze data, prepare technical summaries, and present results to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with downstream, analytical, and project management teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide scientific support to customer-facing teams with remote and onsite troubleshooting.
• Identify improvements to bioproduction workflows, media/feed optimization, and vector enhancements.
• Evaluate new technologies and automation tools to increase efficiency and scale.
• Lead exploratory studies and integrate validated improvements into workflows.
• Contribute to internal innovation and long-term bioproduction strategy.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant laboratory records.
