Job summary

POET in Corning, IA is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and install instrument and electrical systems at a bioprocessing facility. The role requires following electrical codes, calibrating instruments, and supporting 24/7 operations to keep plant processes running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has an electrical training background, hands-on experience with high voltage systems, PLC/DCS troubleshooting, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical training or equivalent is required.
• Journeyman or Master License preferred but may be required based on location.
• Thorough knowledge of standard electrical equipment and work practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and identify root causes; repair or replace parts and rewire/install instrument/electrical goods.
• Follow local electrical codes for 4160V, 480V, 220V, 110V, 24V DC and 4-20 mA loops.
• Troubleshoot PLC/DCS I/O including 4-20mA loops; maintain control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with emergency/shutdown events.
