Job summary

POET is seeking a Plant Technician to operate and maintain plant processing equipment in a highly automated bioprocessing facility located in Ashton, IA. The role requires working 12-hour shifts and maintaining SOPs, safety, and quality standards.

You will document results, test samples, and support maintenance activities as needed. The ideal candidate brings a high school diploma, basic math/reading skills, and comfort with Maximo or similar systems; willingness to work flexible hours and adapt

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a production environment preferred for Technician I.
• Proficiency in math, reading comprehension and mechanical reasoning.
• Experience with software systems, such as Maximo.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processing equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logs and document QA/QC results.
• Operate the DCS for the plant and perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Follow start-up/shut-down/cleaning and batching procedures.
• Assist in preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment.
