Job summary

POET in Coon Rapids, IA is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform safe repairs and preventative maintenance on bioprocessing equipment. The role requires knowledge of process flow, PLCs, water chemistry, and the ability to read schematics; 12-hour shifts are possible and the position is on-site in Coon Rapids, IA.

You will work with the maintenance team to troubleshoot, document tasks, and ensure plant safety and compliance, contributing to POET's 30-year leadership in bioprocessing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with fabrication, welding, cutting and repair of plant equipment is expected.
• Knowledge of boiler operations, water chemistry and conveyor systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with team members and other departments.
• Maintain boiler and cooling tower systems and water testing.
• Operate and maintain plant equipment including pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform LOTO procedures.
• Train new team members in Maintenance Department.
