Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc is seeking a driven technical business development professional to promote and grow our Biopharma presence across North America. You will initiate opportunities, provide technical support, and collaborate with sales and product teams to expand our market share.

This role requires 5+ years in Biopharma with a chemistry/biotech life-science background, willingness to travel up to 50%, and potential supervision of three direct reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in the Biopharma industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biotech or Life Science.
• Strong technical knowledge of Biopharma manufacturing processes, formulations and applications.
• Managerial experience is a plus; role may supervise 3 direct reports.
• Able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, develop and close new opportunities within the Biopharma Industry, primarily with R&D, manufacturing and business development teams.
• Provide product recommendations, technical and formulation support to customers.
• Enhance Univar Solutions' position within accounts via consultative selling at all levels.
• Communicate qualitative and quantitative updates using Salesforce CRM.
• Generate industry reports and assist in corrective actions.
• Stay ahead of product trends, prospect for new business and grow the territory.
• Collaborate with sales and product management to establish new business and support existing business.
• Support customers during scale-up and technical transfer of projects.
• Provide technical training on product lines, internally and externally.
• Contribute to achieving financial targets and understand regulatory requirements.
