Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Sr. Director to lead a globally coordinated Biopharma Application Services team, driving opportunities across the Biopharma Production Commercial Portfolio, including fluid handling, chemicals, and serums.

This role combines technical depth with commercial insight to deliver integrated solutions. You will partner with commercial, marketing, product management, engineering, NPI, quality, and operations, mentoring experts and guiding strategic initiatives, while traveling up

Qualifications

• Experience working in a matrixed environment coordinating large projects across multiple functional disciplines.
• Experience in high level negotiation with customers.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or supplying technical products to the same.
• Project management skills: demonstrate ability to push projects to finish line with planning and execution.
• Up to 50% travel domestically and globally required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a globally coordinated team of application specialists to drive business opportunities across Biopharma Production Commercial Portfolio.
• Provide technical services, application expertise, and project management to regional commercial teams.
• Collaborate with commercial, marketing, product management, engineering, NPI, quality, and operations to address customer needs.
• Lead and mentor a team of technical experts across Avantor’s Biopharma Production pipeline.
• Partner with regional commercial teams on large strategic opportunities and customer engagements with C‑Suite executives.
