Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Field Service Technician in Austin, TX. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and servicing complex biomedical systems with regional travel and a Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

A valid US work authorization is required and a company vehicle is provided. You will act as a technical advisor to clinical staff, perform safety and performance verifications, and maintain strong customer relationships across healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Travel across the region is required; company vehicle provided and expenses covered.
• Minimum 2 years in a Biomedical Technician role with diverse equipment experience.
• Curious, mechanically minded problem-solvers who diagnose issues with hands-on work.
• Strong communication skills to explain findings and build trust.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform PA inspections, maintenance, ESI, and OVP on complex equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate biomedical systems at customer sites.
• Inform supervisors about repair status and any concerns.
• Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training.
• Lead service operations projects as needed and travel for data collection.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the equipment database and service history.
• Adhere to MEMP and regulatory compliance in all activities.
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time.
• Educate customers on proper equipment use and lifecycle planning.
