Job summary
Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on biomedical instruments. You will be the on-site contact for instrument issues, supporting sales, engineering, QA/QC, and R&D while contributing to histology and immunohistochemistry activities.
The role requires extensive travel (75%), with a full-time, day-shift schedule and remote work option for candidates based in the Chicago area.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technologies or related field.
- 4+ years of field service engineering experience in medical instrumentation.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with robotics and fluidics preferred.
- CBET certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance of biomedical instruments.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
- Serve as on-site contact for instrument issues.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, QA/QC, and R&D.
- Support histology/immunohistochemistry functions.
