Job summary

Avantik is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service histology lab equipment at customer sites across the US. You will perform emergency repairs and preventive maintenance, coordinate with the Service Coordinator, and keep customers informed of arrival times and service progress.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, PC skills, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to travel; a company car is provided. On-site work, training, and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Perform emergency repairs and preventive maintenance per Avantik standards.
• Maintain parts inventory for on-site service.
• Interpret schematics and parts drawings.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Travel to customer locations; car provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency repairs and preventive maintenance at customer sites.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinator and track ETA and status.
• Record service reports electronically during visits.
• Restock inventory and manage warehouse counts as requested.
• Generate sales leads by observing client needs on-site.
• Follow up on contract renewals and PM jobs until completion.
