Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technician or equivalent.
• Demonstrates and understands interpersonal and communication skills to work with team members and customers.
• Ability to perform testing and troubleshooting of medical devices using specialized and generic test equipment and software diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical biomedical safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Inspects newly acquired medical devices for safety and function and labels devices appropriately.
• Performs preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing; contributes to testing protocol development.
• Responds to device problems, troubleshoots and corrects issues in clinical or research areas.
• Performs repairs at device/component levels using test instrumentation and diagnostic software.
• Participates in equipment evaluations, installations, and upgrades and provides feedback.
• Conducts rounds to monitor device operation and collaborates to address recurring problems.
