Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technologist who will inspect, calibrate, test, and repair medical electronic equipment across a range of devices. You will apply established procedures and work under guidance to ensure safety and accuracy in all inspections.

You will diagnose malfunctions, install equipment, and provide mentorship to other BMETs as a senior technologist while maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Biomedical Engineering required.
• Biomedical Engineering Technology experience 5-7 years required.
• Licenses and Credentials: Class D Driver's License preferred; internal HR RMV check preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and performance assurance inspections on biomedical equipment.
• Test and calibrate components using manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and code requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
• Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and accurate.
• Repair and replace complex biomedical equipment and systems.
• Install and adjust a variety of electronic biomedical and research equipment.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions with accuracy and precision.
• Mentor other BMETs as senior technologist.
