Responsibilities

• Inspects newly acquired medical devices and systems for safety and function.
• Conducts performance assurance and electrical safety testing; performs preventive maintenance.
• Responds to equipment problems; evaluates, troubleshoots, and solves issues.
• Repairs devices to board/component level using test equipment/diagnostic tools.
• Participates in equipment evaluations, installations, and software revisions.
• Performs rounds to assess operation of devices and systems.
• Instructs staff on testing, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair.
• Documents inspections, repairs, and procedures.
