Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks a biomedical equipment technician to respond to service calls, diagnose equipment, and perform repairs and planned maintenance on basic biomedical devices in the Gainesville, GA area. You will collaborate with hospital staff, document actions, and ensure safety compliance.

A background in electrical/biomedical engineering or related military training is preferred, with on-call rotation possible.

Qualifications

• Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
• Formal education options include degrees in Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent military training.
• Experience or internship programs with GEHC Biomed/FE Services are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair basic biomedical equipment.
• Perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections as assigned.
• Assist more experienced technicians on repairs and resolutions.
• Document repair actions and submit reports according to schedule.
• Maintain customer relations and communicate with customers and teammates.
