Job summary

GE HealthCare in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose and repair complex medical equipment, and perform planned maintenance to ensure patient safety and uptime.

You will document actions, comply with GE policies and regulatory requirements, mentor onsite technicians when needed, and coordinate with customers to deliver service excellence. On-call rotation and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
• Or equivalent military education and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical or mechanical equipment.
• Or High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
• Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy to understand manner.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and perform repairs.
• Perform planned maintenance (PM), safety inspections, and maintain customer relations.
• Follow GE policies and hospital procedures and complete required documentation.
• Lead, instruct, and assist technicians on repairs and resolutions.
