Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose and repair basic biomedical equipment, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure outcomes align with customer expectations.

Under supervision, you will evaluate issues, perform repairs, and document actions while communicating with customers and adhering to GE policies and safety regulations; after-hours on-call may be required within the assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; or equivalent military education.
• Or participant in GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program.
• Or High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of service experience on electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, repair and perform PM on basic biomedical equipment.
• Collaborate with more experienced technicians on complex repairs as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and teammates to ensure satisfaction.
• Follow GE policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and complete documentation.
• Maintain ongoing communication with customers for resolution and follow-up.
• Work as part of a local team to deliver efficient service within the assigned area.
