Job summary

GE HealthCare in Tampa, FL is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to diagnose and repair complex medical equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain strong customer relations on-site.

You will document actions, manage inventory and calibration of tools, and support after-hours or on-call coverage as required, ensuring compliance with GE policies and hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
• The applicant must pass GE HealthCare standard background checks and a post-offer drug test.
• Compliance with immunization and access policies; there may be additional background checks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and implement repairs.
• Perform planned maintenance, safety and environmental inspections and maintain customer relations.
• Document repair actions and submit reports on schedule.
• Lead technicians on site and coordinate with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain spares, tools, test equipment, and calibration; manage inventory.
• May rotate on-call duties and after-hours coverage as needed.
