Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to assist technicians in testing, maintenance, and repair of general patient care equipment. The role includes maintaining equipment records and supporting calendar-based safety checks and repairs.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s in Biomedical Technology is preferred. The position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays with a focus on quality work.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required or an Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology preferred.
• Licenses/Experience: 0–1 year related experience preferred.
• Knowledge: basic understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment records and accurate inventory.
• Coordinates and completes scheduled and unscheduled repair and maintenance of physical plant by company approved vendors.
• Performs documentation of work performed, inventories and histories.
• Updates the inventory and control systems for all equipment supported by the department.
• Assists BMET Techs with maintenance and repair of clinical and other electromechanical related equipment.
