Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to install, calibrate, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of complex medical and electronic hospital devices. The role requires careful interpretation of wiring diagrams, safe use of power and hand tools, and a strong commitment to safety.

With nine years of hospital-based biomedical experience, you will contribute to a comprehensive health system.

Qualifications

  • HS/GED required; associates preferred in Biomedical or Electronics Technology.
  • Nine years experience maintaining biomedical equipment in a hospital setting.

Job description

Perform installation, calibration and preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of complex medical and electronic hospital equipment.

Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
Education

HS/GED. Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Biomedical or Electronics Technology strongly preferred. Related work experience may substitute for a technical degree.

Experience

Requires nine years experience on biomedical equipment in a hospital environment.

Additional Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Ability to use assorted power and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of safety codes.

Must posses a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
