Brown University is seeking a Manager for BioMed Shared Services to lead high-level pre-award activities and manage complex proposals. The role operates as a functional team lead, coordinating with the Shared Services Director, Grants and Financial Specialists, OSP, and collaborating institutions.

The position emphasizes budgeting, proposal assembly, PSAs, contracts, and subawards, requiring strong Excel analytics and confidential data handling in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with minimum 4 years of research administration experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead management of large, multi-investigator, highly complex proposal submissions.
• Serve as functional team lead and workflow buffer with peer guidance and high-level technical oversight.
• Act as liaison between BioMed Shared Services, BioMed Research Administration, OSP and collaborating institutions, sponsoring agencies, and PIs.
• Perform pre-award management: budget development, proposal assembly, and submission.
• Set up PSAs and contracts through BXM; initiate subaward agreements and rebudgets.
