AeroVironment, Inc. invites applications for a part-time Laboratory Technician I to join the Biological Materials and Processes Research Team at Wright-Patterson AFB and Wright State University in Dayton, OH.

The role supports researchers with routine laboratory tasks and offers the chance to expand skills as projects evolve, including tasks tied to biomaterials development for Air Force-relevant applications. A strong team orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years biology/chemistry/microbiology experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good oral and written communication; able to work with diverse teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing/autoclaving glassware and solutions.
• Cleaning/decontaminating common lab areas.
• Preparing common stock of pH and other solutions.
• Restocking common supplies within the lab.
• Housekeeping of common lab areas.
• Project-specific tasks including pouring agar plates and preparing stock solutions.
