Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Lab Manager for Polymers and Specialty Materials to oversee day-to-day operations at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. You will manage procurement, safety, equipment maintenance, and instrument calibration while coordinating with government researchers and AV teams.

The role requires coordination with base logistics, vendors, and AV’s purchasing groups to ensure compliant, safe, and uninterrupted laboratory activity in a defense R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a relevant technical, scientific, or operations/logistics field or 3+ years of working experience in lab operations, logistics, or lab management.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, hazardous materials handling, and occupational safety regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with scientists, engineers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage lab operations and safety compliance across the Wright-Patterson area.
• Coordinate procurement, vendor quotes, and delivery of equipment and supplies.
• Oversee maintenance scheduling and calibration tracking for lab instruments.
