Job summary

A consulting firm is seeking a part-time Biological Laboratory Technician to support Aerospace Medical Research efforts in Oklahoma City. Responsibilities include processing toxicology specimens, preparing biological samples, and assisting in laboratory operations. Candidates should have an Associate's degree in a relevant field and excellent communication skills. This role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years related experience with an Associate’s degree; no experience required with a B.S. degree.
• U.S. Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

• Processing incoming toxicology specimens.
• Preparing biological samples for toxicological analyses.
• Performing data entry for toxicology batches and cases.
• Generating toxicology reports for review and signature.
• Mailing out toxicology reports to appropriate recipients.
• Maintaining and organizing toxicology case files.
• Scanning batch and case paperwork for electronic storage.
• Assisting chemists and toxicologists in daily operations and research projects.
• Participating in the Laboratory’s accreditation process.
• Preparing toxicology paperwork for FOIAs.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products

Education

Associate’s degree in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
