Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years biology/chemistry/microbiology experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good oral and written communication; able to work with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Dishwashing/autoclaving glassware and solutions.
  • Cleaning/decontaminating common lab areas.
  • Preparing common stock of pH and other solutions.
  • Restocking common supplies within the lab.
  • Housekeeping of common lab areas.
  • Project-specific tasks including pouring agar plates and preparing stock solutions.

## Laboratory Technician IApply: WPAFB: Part time: Posted Today: 8399**Worker Type**Regular**Job Description**AV invites applications for a part-time laboratory assistant to join the Biological Materials and Processes Research Team at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, OH. The successful applicant will become an integral member of a biomaterials research group that includes scientists and engineers at all levels and from a range of personal and professional backgrounds.The successful applicant will join a team that is responsible for identifying novel biosynthetic approaches for the development of unique biomaterials for Air Force-relevant applications. The team includes Materials Scientists, Engineers, Bioinformaticians, Chemists, and Microbiologists. The team member will assist researchers with general laboratory tasks and duties. As projects evolve in the research team, the team member will have the opportunity to expand their skillset to include project specific tasks.
