Job summary

Wake Tech is seeking an Instructor and Program Coordinator for Biomanufacturing Training in the Biotechnologies Division. This twelve-month faculty role develops courses and training in partnership with MIT TechAMP at Wake Tech East Wake Campus in Wendell, NC, serving biotech companies and universities statewide.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in bioengineering, engineering, or life sciences preferred
• Five years’ experience in a cGMP biomanufacturing environment
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver’s license required by the college

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MIT TechAMP biomanufacturing training with NCSU & Wake Tech
• Instruct Biomanufacturing courses with domain expertise
• Develop lecture materials and modules for in-person/virtual delivery
• Serve as SME in BioIndustrial/BioAutomation/Biomanufacturing/Pharmaceutical
• Oversee adjunct trainers and lab personnel; scheduling and evaluations
• Collaborate with Apprenticeship Division and CTDs to meet needs
• Conduct lab activities: setup, materials, autoclave, equipment
• Design classroom activities and lab exercises
• Develop certificate programs in the area
• Respond to training requests with industry-aligned solutions
• Plan roadmaps with management for future training; attend meetings
• Maintain relationships with industry partners and the public
• Represent the college at conferences and advisory boards
