Arizona College of Nursing is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach on campus and in person, delivering a dynamic learning experience that blends lectures, demonstrations, and technology.

You will engage students, foster a positive classroom climate, assess progress, and provide academic counseling. The ideal candidate has graduate credentials and several years of teaching or related experience in nursing education.

Qualifications

• Masters’ degree or higher from an accredited program is required.
• Minimum of 15 credit hours (or equivalent) in the assigned subject area.
• Master’s degree in the discipline OR a Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours relevant to the discipline.
• Two years of practical experience in the course content area with a related degree, or three years if the degree is unrelated.
• Minimum of three years of work experience as an educator is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Teach on campus and in-person using lectures, demonstrations, and audiovisual tools.
• Keep students engaged and follow the curriculum/syllabus.
• Create a positive learning climate with clear objectives for all activities.
• Meet course and school-wide performance goals.
• Manage student behavior in classroom/online and evaluate performance.
• Identify at-risk students and refer to Student Success Coordinator.
• Provide advisement and tutoring as needed.
• Grade tests and projects; maintain grade books and attendance; perform admin duties.
• Administer tests to measure progress and training effectiveness.
• Participate in ongoing conferences, seminars, and professional development.
