Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing seeks an adjunct instructor to teach on campus and in person under the supervision of the Dean of General Education. The role uses lectures, demonstrations, and labs with audiovisual tools and requires engaging students and translating curriculum into effective learning experiences.

Candidates should hold a master's degree or higher, demonstrate English communication skills, and have relevant teaching or practical experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited program recognized in the U.S.
• Minimum requirements include at least 15 credit hours in the assigned subject area.
• Master’s degree in the discipline or a Master’s with 18 graduate credits relevant to the discipline.
• Two years of practical experience in the course content area with a related degree, or three years if the degree is unrelated.
• Three years of work experience as an educator is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver learning experiences in classroom, online, and/or lab settings using diverse teaching methods.
• Keep students engaged and follow the established curriculum.
• Create a positive educational climate and communicate clear learning objectives.
• Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
• Manage student behavior in person or online and assess performance.
• Identify and refer at-risk students to Student Success Coordinator.
• Provide advising and tutoring as needed on an individual basis.
• Grade tests/projects, maintain grade books, and track attendance.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
