Job summary

Azenta Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking a 2nd Shift Biobank Technician I to register, label, retrieve and discard biological materials while maintaining strict temperature control. This role supports sample management and lab services in a fast-paced environment.

Working Mon-Fri, 3:30 pm–12 am, you will follow SOPs, GMP/GLP standards, and use the inventory system to track chain of custody. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience demonstrating teamwork, self-motivation, detail orientation, and professionalism.
• Life Sciences experience and GMP/GTP/CLIA familiarity preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and execute English-language instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Register samples into the inventory management system.
• Label, retrieve, and discard materials while maintaining required temperatures.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory standards (GMP/GLP/ISO/CAP).
• Maintain chain of custody and audit trails; generate location reports.
• Perform quality control checks on registrations and disposals.
