Qualifications

• Experience handling biological specimens and maintaining chain-of-custody documentation.
• Familiarity with LIMS or biobank inventory databases and data integrity practices.
• Knowledge of biosafety, PPE, and hazardous waste handling protocols.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and process incoming biological specimens per SOPs.
• Aliquot, label, and prepare samples for long-term storage (blood, tissue, serum, plasma).
• Maintain storage systems (ultra-low freezers, dewars, refrigerators) and respond to alarms.
• Enter and maintain sample data in LIMS/biobank databases with traceability.
• Track inventory, storage capacity, and equipment maintenance; report issues.
• Support audits and inspections with well-organized records and documentation.
• Collaborate with research staff and IT/data management to support studies.
