Job summary

Moderna in Norwood, MA is seeking a full-time co-op in Biobank Operations. You will support specimen receipt, documentation, and storage, while using LabVantage LIMS to track samples and maintain chain of custody.

The role includes working with automation workflows and handling specimens at controlled temperatures in a regulated environment. The position offers hands-on experience in sample lifecycle management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize storage and效率.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Biology or related field.
• Coursework or lab experience in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline.
• Basic lab skills such as pipetting and sample handling.

Responsibilities

• Support biospecimen receipt, documentation, storage, retrieval, and distribution in accordance with SOPs and safety requirements.
• Utilize LabVantage LIMS to support sample tracking, chain of custody, and lifecycle traceability.
• Support automation and robotics workflows used for sample reformatting, storage, and retrieval.
• Handle biospecimens across required temperature conditions while following SOPs, safety requirements, and chain-of-custody practices.
• Support study close-out, sample reconciliation, and storage optimization activities that support long-term storage and operational efficiency.
• Identify and elevate sample, labeling, inventory, or documentation discrepancies to Biobank team members.
• Prepare and deliver project updates or presentations to Biobank and cross-functional teams, as appropriate.
