Job summary

Serif Biomedicines, a Flagship Pioneering company, seeks an Associate Scientist to drive bio-analytical assays for a novel DNA platform in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. You will work both independently and with a collaborative team on in vitro and in vivo studies to advance nucleic acid therapeutics.

Qualifications

• Masters or BS in relevant discipline with 6+ years of industry experience.
• Deep expertise in ex-vivo analytical assays such as ELISA, MSD, qPCR, ddPCR.
• Hands-on experience with multi-parameter flow-cytometry, including panel design, compensation, and analysis.
• Experience with transfection methods in human and NHP PBMCs is preferred.
• Proficiency in processing tissues and isolation of cell types from mice and NHPs.

Responsibilities

• Execute and analyze bioassays to assess efficacy, safety and biodistribution in rodents and NHPs.
• Contribute to scientific and technical perspectives to advance platform development.
• Develop, optimize, and execute ligand binding assays to support studies.
• Communicate experimental findings in oral, written, and visual formats.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
