Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Bindery Operator 1 for the Monroe, Wisconsin location on 3rd shift (roughly 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM). The role starts at $20.15 per hour with a $3 premium shift differential.

The operator will set up, adjust, and operate various bindery machines to produce final printed products, while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and more.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors to identify paper conditions and adjust machines.
• Basic mathematics (decimals, measurements) to understand dimensional requirements.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Skill in using handtools (wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, knives) for maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and keep dimensional accuracy.
• Knowledge of bindery equipment setup, adjustment, and operation for folding, cutting, collating, binding.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate bindery machines including cutters, folders, collators and binders.
• Inspect equipment for safety and perform routine adjustments.
• May operate poly binders and adhesive binding units.
• Direct crew through production and monitor quality and throughput.
• Perform other duties as assigned in the bindery area.
