Job summary

RR Donnelley in Aurora, CO is seeking an experienced Bindery Operator to set up, adjust and operate a range of finishers and bindery machines to produce catalogs, manuals and books.

You will monitor machine performance, ensure quality, train and direct crew, and maintain safety standards while optimizing throughput and accuracy. This role offers competitive pay and benefits as part of RR Donnelley’s manufacturing operations. Experience with perfect binders and multi-function lines is preferred.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders and job specifications to determine machine operations and maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Calculate distances, clearances, and fits for combining machines.
• Operate tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Knowledge of complex bindery equipment and finishing folds and cuts.
• Set up and adjust machines for finishing operations and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of bindery machines.
• Set up automatic bindery machines with multiple functions.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• May operate adhesive binding machines (perfect binders).
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
