Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Bindery Operator I for the Monroe, WI location, rotating 12-hour night shifts (about 7:00pm–7:00am) with every other weekend. Starting pay is $20.15/hour plus a $3/hour night shift differential.

The role involves setup, operation, and maintenance of bindery equipment, supervising crew, and ensuring quality and productivity. Position requires familiarity with various bindery processes, precise measurement, and the ability to interpret job orders.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with paper weights, sizes, colors to identify paper conditions and adjust machines.
• Basic mathematics to understand dimensional requirements in job orders.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Read and interpret work instructions for machine operations and tolerances.
• Knowledge of bindery equipment setup, adjustments, and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of bindery machines and attachments.
• May set up automatic bindery machines with multiple functions for producing final books and catalogs.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Operate automated adhesive binding machines and manage station processes.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a machine.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production.
• Monitor quality, output, and productivity.
• Other duties as assigned.
