Job summary

RRD is seeking a bindery operator for a fixed 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) in Minnesota. The role requires setting up and operating bindery equipment, coordinating a crew, and ensuring quality and productivity across finishing processes.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders to determine machine operations.
• Calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.
• Ability to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Knowledge of complex bindery machines and finishing processes.
• Understand paper stock quality and finishing considerations.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate binding machines to produce final books, catalogs, or manuals.
• Set up automatic bindery machines with multiple functions and station capabilities.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine and refine adjustments.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
