Job summary

RRD is seeking an experienced Bindery Operator in Timonium, MD for first shift. You will set up and operate a range of bindery and finishing equipment to convert printed sheets into final books and catalogs.

The role requires familiarity with paper weights and sizes, basic math, and the ability to read job orders and adjust tools. You will oversee crew, ensure safety, quality and productivity across stations.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with paper weights, sizes, colors to adjust machines.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics for dimensional requirements.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust bindery equipment.
• Ability to read instructions indicating machine operations and sequence.
• Understanding of procedures for bindery equipment operation.
• Working knowledge of folding, collating, cutting of printed materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate various bindery machines and related equipment.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on one machine.
