Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking a BIM VDC Coordinator to bridge the gap between BIM Detailers and Leads and ensure coordinated, high-quality models and project standards.

This role supports model management, clash detection, and acts as a liaison across office and field operations. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and field teams to ensure accurate system integration, participate in coordination meetings, and mentor junior BIM VDC staff while keeping up

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, CAD-related field.
• Electrical construction experience preferred.
• Certifications in BIM VDC-related technologies are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing BIM VDC processes on assigned projects.
• Support development and maintenance of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Ensure adherence to company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
• Manage coordination models using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM tools.
• Perform clash detection and track resolution of coordination issues across trades.
• Produce 2D drawings, shop drawings, and model-based documentation.
• Provide model extracts and coordination reports to project teams.
• Mentor and guide BIM VDC Detailer I and II team members.
