Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a senior BIM/MEP modeling specialist to own controls and instrumentation models for AI data center projects. You will build Revit and AutoCAD Plant 3D models, place sensors, plan cable trays and panels, and convert P&IDs into accurate 3D geometry.

You will coordinate with controls, electrical, and IT teams, maintain federated models, and perform clash detection in Navisworks to ensure conflict-free designs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years modeling building systems and MEP in Revit for industrial/data center projects.
• Expert-level Revit with MEP family creation, parametric content, worksharing & shared coordinates.
• Strong AutoCAD Plant 3D; bidirectional workflow between AutoCAD and Revit without accuracy loss.
• Experience with controls system layout, instrumentation, cable tray & conduit routing, sensor placement.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, controls docs, equipment arrangments, sequence of operations.
• Navisworks proficiency: clash tests and resolving interferences.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (Forma) and Bluebeam Revu.
• Familiarity with NEC/IEC/NFPA electrical codes.
• High school diploma required; degree in electrical/controls engineering preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the controls and instrumentation systems model on projects.
• Create models in Revit and AutoCAD Plant 3D including sensor placements and panels.
• Model and coordinate cable trays, conduits, control panels, and junction boxes.
• Convert AutoCAD/P&IDs into Revit geometry and produce CAD deliverables.
• Maintain models within federated sets per BIM Execution Plan.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and resolve conflicts.
• Raise and track model change requests; produce control drawings and layouts.
• Generate model-based quantity takeoffs for controls materials.
• Build and maintain parametric Revit families; contribute to templates and shared parameters.
• Support commissioning with as-built docs and verifications; update models from field markups.
