Job summary

HDR is seeking a BIM Model Manager to lead digital delivery for complex projects within its Building Engineering Services Group. You will manage the digital model environment, establish the Digital Delivery Plan, and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely, accurate BIM deliverables.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and 3 years digital delivery (model management) experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems.
• Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
• Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools and Microsoft Office products.
• Familiar with industry standards and discipline codes/specifications.
• Familiar with basic automation/programming applications for efficiencies.
• Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications.
• Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support.

Responsibilities

• Manage the digital model environment and deliverables for an entire project.
• Generate and maintain the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and manage deliverables.
• Begin project initiation: server infrastructure, discipline models, and digital deliverables.
• Execute digital deliverables and support production teams through the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support and communicate the deliverable schedule to the project team.
• Monitor model health and coordination processes from planning through construction document issues.
• Lead coordination with Digital Delivery Leads and guide project team members.
• Develop and maintain the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP).
• Establish the document management system and server infrastructure for multi-discipline projects.
• Ensure the team has appropriate software, versions, access, and training.
• Generate and maintain model setup including information, coordinates, scales, orientations, and views.
• Monitor and maintain HDR standards and model health.
• Host Digital Delivery coordination meetings for quality control during design reviews.
• Coordinate and compile all digital deliverables and exchange processes at milestones.
• Archive projects at submittals and closeout.
• Engage in clear communication with HDR management, staff, and clients.
