Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Model Manager to lead discipline BIM modeling, coordinate with architecture and engineering teams, and ensure digital delivery alignment across the project lifecycle. You will implement HDR standards, maintain model health, and contribute to 3D coordination efforts within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems.
• Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
• Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools.
• Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
• Familiar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications.
• Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies.
• Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications.
• Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support

Responsibilities

• Model the discipline model and generate BIM elements per the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope.
• Create and maintain the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for that discipline.
• Coordinate with architects/engineers and other professionals to deliver compliant designs.
• Rely on guidance from senior professionals while remaining technically competent with the discipline and software.
• Accurately model BIM elements in the correct constraints of the modeling environment, using current 3D software.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams of the design within project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, and views.
• Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output.
• Monitor, improve, and maintain company standards and model health.
• Coordinate the design with other discipline models through Design Reviews and the 3D Coordination process.
• Assist or execute additional Digital Delivery requirements identified on the project.
• Participate in the digital delivery community to ensure communication and dissemination of BIM and digital delivery knowledge.
