Position Overview

The Digital Design Specialist will work within the Resources Business Group (RBG) on multi-discipline engineering design projects such as waste transfer facilities, electrical substations, natural gas compressor stations, and LNG facilities. This role involves working closely with the RBG Digital Design and Delivery Lead (DDL) and technical practitioners utilizing Autodesk Revit. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining BIM content, building Revit interfaces, templates, standards, and supporting project teams with technical execution. The specialist will also work directly with the RBG DDL to maintain BIM content libraries across all practices, business classes, and disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Work under the supervision of an Engineer or technical professional within a specific discipline.
2. Manage discipline models and generate BIM elements based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope.
3. Create and maintain discipline models, systems, content, and digital delivery outputs.
4. Follow guidance from engineers or technical professionals while demonstrating technical competence with discipline-specific software.
5. Accurately model BIM elements within the current 3D software environment.
6. Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams within project scope, schedule, and budget.
7. Maintain discipline models including project information, coordinates, scales, and views.
8. Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations.
9. Monitor and improve company standards and model health.
10. Coordinate design with other discipline models through reviews and clash detection.
11. Assist with additional Digital Delivery requirements as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related add-ins.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Plant 3D, Civil 3D, BIM 360, Navisworks, InfraWorks, and ProjectWise.
• Experience with PDF editors like BlueBeam.
• Knowledge of model clash detection techniques.

Required Qualifications

• Technical degree or at least 3 years of related industry experience.
• Proficiency with 3D design software and document management.
• Competency in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
• Experience with 3D coordination tools.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.
