The Opportunity

This position is within the Core Diagnostics Division, empowering smarter medical and economic decisions to transform health management at all life stages. Over 10 million tests are run daily on Abbott’s diagnostic instruments, providing critical lab results worldwide.

Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics globally. The information derived from our tests and systems is often the first step in patient care decisions for various health conditions.

What You'll Do

Primary Objective of Position

• Drive sales for Abbott Diagnostics laboratory solutions and professional services, developing and closing key customer accounts.
• Support the commercial team to maximize core diagnostic business through workflow consulting, laboratory automation, and informatics systems.
• Provide expert knowledge and internal training on these subjects.

Major Accountabilities

• Work with the country commercial team to plan, prioritize sales activities, and contact customers to achieve business goals.
• Manage the lab solutions portfolio according to market development strategies.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships through workflow consulting and ethical sales methods.
• Manage product/service mix, pricing, and margins.
• Use contact activities tools and update relevant systems.
• Respond to customer and sales inquiries promptly.
• Participate in external and internal meetings to develop sales opportunities.
• Provide technical information for tenders and contracts, including completing tender documentation.
• Support marketing activities such as product launches, promotions, and exhibitions.
• Monitor market and competitor activities, providing relevant reports.
• Coordinate with workflow consulting to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Achieve high customer satisfaction levels.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in science, economics, or business, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of successful experience in the diagnostic industry.
• Proficiency in consultative selling techniques.
• Ability to influence across multiple divisions (ADD/AMD/APOC).
• Strong collaborative and organizational change skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Innovative thinking and ability to develop new approaches.
