Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Mechanical Detailer/Drafter to develop detailed 3D Revit models and fabrication drawings for commercial mechanical systems. The role collaborates with PMs, engineers, BIM teams, and field crews to ensure accurate coordination before installation.

The candidate should have strong Revit experience, BIM coordination and constructability review skills, and a track record in commercial HVAC, piping, and plumbing detailing.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years in mechanical drafting or BIM detailing.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit.
• Experience detailing commercial HVAC, mechanical piping, or plumbing systems.
• Strong BIM coordination and clash detection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specs, and construction docs.
• Experience creating fabrication drawings, spool sheets, and installation layouts.
• Experience with design-build and prefabrication-driven projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D Revit models for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Produce installation drawings, spool drawings, fabrication packages, and coordinated construction documents.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and assist with clash detection and model resolution.
• Create detailed layouts for ductwork, piping systems, mechanical equipment, and support systems.
• Review construction documents and specifications to ensure accurate modeling and detailing.
• Coordinate with field personnel, project management teams, and fabrication shops to support project execution.
• Assist with constructability reviews and identify potential installation conflicts before construction begins.
• Maintain drawing revisions and ensure project documentation remains current throughout project lifecycles.
• Support prefabrication efforts by developing fabrication-ready models and shop drawings.
• Collaborate with project teams to improve efficiency, reduce field rework, and optimize installation sequencing.
