Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Mid-South is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to design systems from project documents, ensuring accurate HVAC and plumbing modeling in Revit. You will work with field and BIM teams to maximize constructability and deliver fabrication files on tight deadlines.

The role requires hands-on experience with Autodesk fabrication parts in Revit, Navisworks coordination, and a solid understanding of contract drawings and submittals.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience using Autodesk fabrication parts in Revit for HVAC and plumbing.
• Experience with BIM coordination tools (Navisworks or ACC Model Coordination).
• Ability to read contract drawings and specs and review approved submittals.
• Understanding BIM workflows and construction coordination processes.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Autodesk Fabrication parts in Revit to model HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with general superintendents to improve constructability.
• Produce material lists from approved shop drawings.
• Meet deadlines for modeling, shop drawings, and fabrication files.
• Communicate with field personnel to resolve drawing questions.
• Coordinate with BIM team and external trades during coordination meetings.
• Assist in producing RFIs and prefabrication drawings.
• Update Navisworks models and link them to Procore.
• Maintain cloud-based model sharing and project status trackers.
